50 Million Year Old Eocene Era Fossil Fish Triptych in Stone, from Wyoming
This exquisite and unique fossil mural features five Diplomystus dentatus, six Cockerellites liops (formerly known as Priscacara), and six Knightia eocaena. These fish are all Eocene era fossils dating back about 50 million years. The ancient fish are forever preserved in a sculptural matrix of fossil-bearing limestone. This exemplary slice of natural history compliments a wide range of design style, from traditional to rustic to modern. The contrast of undulating limestone and the ancient fossils will be a dramatic focal point wherever it is installed.
Each panel in the triptych measures 4 feet x 2 feet. The overall width of the triptych will vary depending on how the panels are arranged; with a 2" space between each panel, the final width will be 6.3 feet.
Each panel is fully backed with wood and has a built-in French cleat, which allows for an easy installation.
