50 Million Year Old Eocene Era Fossil Fish Giant Mural in Stone, from Wyoming
This unique fossil mural features a Mioplosus labracoides, four Diplomystus dentatus, a Cockerellites liops (formerly known as Priscacara), and three Knightia eocaena, all of which are Eocene era fossils dating back about 50 million years. These ancient fish are forever preserved in a textured matrix of natural, fossil-bearing limestone. This stunning, sculptural piece of natural history works beautifully with design styles ranging from traditional to modern. The mural measures approximately 4 feet x 8 feet. It is fully backed with wood and it includes a handmade custom Wenge wood frame which compliments the fossil color beautifully. The mural has a built-in French cleat, which allows for an easy installation. The cleat is installed for a horizontal installation, but this can easily be changed for a vertical installation.
