50 Million Year Old Eocene Era Fossil Fish Console Table in Stone, from Wyoming

This elegant console table features four natural Eocene era fossil fish: two Cockerellites liops (formerly known as Priscacara) and two Knightia eocaena. These fossil fish date back about 50 million years, and they are forever preserved in a matrix of natural, fossil-bearing limestone. This stunning piece of natural history works beautifully with design styles ranging from traditional to modern.

 

The tabletop measures 8" x 34" and the table stands 31 and 5/8" tall. The style of table base is a study in elegant restraint. The color of the forged steel compliments the color of the natural fossils perfectly and the textures of the stone and forged steel work beautifully together.
